Sense8 works for dogs of every breed, size and
age – from small, sensitive dogs to large dogs with thick coats. The vibration
unit clips onto most standard collars and harnesses. With several vibration
levels, you can adjust the intensity to suit your dog: the gentle levels are
made for small and sensitive dogs, the higher levels for large dogs and thick
coats.

Just like a verbal cue or a hand signal, you
teach your dog what the vibration means – for example, “come to me.” We’ll show
you exactly how, step by step, in our training videos. Sarah, co-founder of

Yes. Every dog can learn to respond to a
vibration cue, no matter their age or history. Dogs keep learning their whole
lives, just like we do. For deaf and hard-of-hearing dogs, vibration is
especially valuable because it doesn’t rely on hearing at all. In fact, that’s
why Sense8 exists: Sarah’s Dalmatian, Alma, gradually lost her hearing. With
anxious dogs, simply start on a gentle vibration level. Our video course shows
you how.

Sense8 was designed from day one for kind, fair
communication with your dog – not for correction or punishment. We designed the
vibration so it doesn’t startle your dog or feel unpleasant. Sense8 was created
by a dog trainer, who shows you in videos how to build your training. Our goal:
that you and your dog understand each other better and your bond grows stronger
with Sense8.

Yes, Sense8 is waterproof. Your dog can swim, splash through puddles and head out in the rain – no need to take the unit off.

The vibration unit measures approx. 2 × 2 in, is 0.6 in tall and weighs only about 1.4 oz. It’s light and compact, so it barely
adds bulk to a collar or harness.

Yes. The Sense8 clip attaches the vibration
unit to most standard collars and harnesses – no need to buy a new collar. The
clip comes in 4 sizes for different collar thicknesses approx. 0.02–0.1 in. The collar
or harness strap can be up to 1 in wide.

The Sense8 remote has a range of about 1,000 feet. 

In ideal conditions, such as a clear line of
sight, it reaches considerably farther. Obstacles like trees, buildings or
hills can reduce the range somewhat.

No. Sense8 works without an app and without a smartphone.

With normal use, the batteries in the vibration
unit and the remote last about 14 days. When you don’t use them for a while,
both devices switch to sleep mode to save power – just wake them up when you
need them. Charging works with the included cable, and a full charge takes
about 2 hours. A charging station will also be available later.

Sense8 is the result of more than two years of development. At the end of October 2026, the devices for our product testers
will arrive. We’ll use their feedback to keep improving Sense8. In 2027, we
plan to launch a crowdfunding campaign to bring Sense8 to market.
